From 2017 to 2020…
A group of citizen journalists were working heavily on Twitter to document what was going on in our country and our truth.
Working to destroy the mainstream media propaganda.
Working to give the truth and help unbias the news.
They were patriotic and passionate. They wanted freedom for their fellow man.
Then the censorship came…
Just weeks before the 2020 Election, Big Tech platforms dropped the ban hammer. Hundreds, if not thousands of accounts were censored.
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of subscribers gone in an instant.
They needed somewhere to go, so they migrated to Telegram, and international app that wasn’t banning creators.
These citizen journalists then band together and created
We The Media - a collective of content creators giving news commentary and the truth and opinions behind it.
as the brand grew…
The Telegram channel exploded. People were looking for uncensored information and authenticity.
They were sick of the propaganda from the mainstream media and curated narratives on Big Tech platforms.
As alternative platforms came online in the years since, and as Big Tech platforms have lessen their censorship, We The Media migrated onto a few other platforms - back to Twitter, Truth Social, and Instagram.
We The Media’s truth-based merchandise just dropped, and we have aspirations to create more media someday.
To continue destroying mainstream propaganda, sharing authentic, unfiltered news and views, and helping to wake people up. The World needs it.
